Latest News! We have now found a publisher for the Journal of International Organization Studies and are progressing fast with our plans to have the first issue in place in September/October 2009. The journal will be published by Brigham Young University where students will have the opportunity to gain experience in working with a professional editor to manage the publication process. The journal's home will be UNSA. A call for papers will be issued in September through UNSA and ACUNS, and we are still happy to welcome indications of interest to serve on the editorial board. We are particularly interested in your contribution if you have a practitioner background and if you are interested in the role of editor for the section "Insider's View" in which pracitioners can submit field reports, analysis and observations.

This new journal is...

• dedicated to the study of international organisations such as the UN, EU, AU, ASEAN, NATO - "a unique form of governance"

• primarily located within International Relations and political science, but welcoming contributions from the wider social sciences and other disciplines
• interdisciplinary, drawing on theories, concepts, methods and approaches from other disciplines
• comparative, i.e. analysing the differences and commonalities between international organisations in terms of their structures, processes and policies, as well as their success
• meta-disciplinary, e.g. comparing the subjects/disciplines of UN Studies and EU Studies
• conceptualising new (and existing but undertheorised) approaches and methodologies to the study of international organisations
